🕵️‍♀️ FIND THOSE MISMATCHED CARDS! Easy Trick for Pocket & Website Sync! 🧩

Hey everyone!

Ever spent ages trying to figure out why your Pokémon TCG Pocket card counts don’t match up with your website tracker? Yeah, me too! But I’ve found a trick that’s saved me SO much time, and I wanted to share it with you all! :star_struck:

The Problem: Mismatched Card Counts :exploding_head:

We’ve all been there: maybe you forgot to update your website after a trade, or dust conversions messed things up. :man_shrugging: Either way, finding those discrepancies can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack! :yarn:

The Solution: Half-and-Half Elimination! :scissors:

Here’s how to quickly narrow down your search:

  1. Use the Search Function! :mag:
  • The key is to use the search function on BOTH the app AND the website simultaneously! :handshake: This lets you compare results and pinpoint differences.
  1. Filter by Rarity! :star:
  • Most of us probably have a ton of ◊ cards, right? Start by filtering for those on both platforms. :bar_chart:
  1. Divide and Conquer: Expansion Edition! :world_map:
  • Now, let’s break down the expansions! Select TWO expansions at a time. :v:
  • On the app, you’ll see the total count for both expansions combined. :heavy_plus_sign:
  • On the website, you’ll see them separately, so grab a calculator or open another tab to sum them up. :abacus:
  1. Compare the Numbers! :1234:
  • If the app’s total matches the website’s total, those expansions are likely synced! :white_check_mark: Move on to the next pair.
  • If they don’t match, you’ve found a discrepancy! :tada: Now you know the issue lies within those two expansions.
  1. Rinse and Repeat! :arrows_counterclockwise:
  • Keep narrowing down your search using different combinations of expansions and rarities. Try ◊◊ and ◊◊◊ cards, or different expansion pairings. :star2::star2::star2:

Why This Works: Logical Deduction! :brain:

By eliminating half of your collection at a time, you drastically reduce the number of cards you need to manually check. It’s like a process of elimination, but for Pokémon cards!

Pro-Tip: Trade Deductions! :warning:

Remember that the app deducts cards as soon as a trade is initiated, even if it’s not accepted yet! :scream: So, if you’re waiting on a trade, that might be causing a mismatch!

My Experience: A Game Changer! :star_struck:

This method has been a lifesaver for me! I hope it helps you keep your collection in perfect sync, too! :+1:

Happy hunting, trainers! :four_leaf_clover:

Let me know if you have any questions!

See you in the trades! :v:

Props to @Kenny for giving this lifesaving lifehack in the comments.
