Hey everyone! ![]()
Ever spent ages trying to figure out why your Pokémon TCG Pocket card counts don’t match up with your website tracker?
Yeah, me too!
But I’ve found a trick that’s saved me SO much time, and I wanted to share it with you all! ![]()
The Problem: Mismatched Card Counts ![]()
We’ve all been there: maybe you forgot to update your website after a trade, or dust conversions messed things up.
Either way, finding those discrepancies can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack! ![]()
The Solution: Half-and-Half Elimination! ![]()
Here’s how to quickly narrow down your search:
- Use the Search Function!

- The key is to use the search function on BOTH the app AND the website simultaneously!
This lets you compare results and pinpoint differences.
- Filter by Rarity!

- Most of us probably have a ton of ◊ cards, right? Start by filtering for those on both platforms.

- Divide and Conquer: Expansion Edition!

- Now, let’s break down the expansions! Select TWO expansions at a time.

- On the app, you’ll see the total count for both expansions combined.

- On the website, you’ll see them separately, so grab a calculator or open another tab to sum them up.

- Compare the Numbers!

- If the app’s total matches the website’s total, those expansions are likely synced!
Move on to the next pair. - If they don’t match, you’ve found a discrepancy!
Now you know the issue lies within those two expansions.
- Rinse and Repeat!

- Keep narrowing down your search using different combinations of expansions and rarities. Try ◊◊ and ◊◊◊ cards, or different expansion pairings.

Why This Works: Logical Deduction! ![]()
By eliminating half of your collection at a time, you drastically reduce the number of cards you need to manually check. It’s like a process of elimination, but for Pokémon cards! ![]()
Pro-Tip: Trade Deductions! ![]()
Remember that the app deducts cards as soon as a trade is initiated, even if it’s not accepted yet!
So, if you’re waiting on a trade, that might be causing a mismatch!
My Experience: A Game Changer! ![]()
This method has been a lifesaver for me! I hope it helps you keep your collection in perfect sync, too! ![]()
Happy hunting, trainers! ![]()
Let me know if you have any questions! ![]()
