Hey everyone! ![]()
Following up on my previous post about using the “half-and-half” method to find card count discrepancies between the website and Pokémon TCG Pocket (link to previous post here:
I wanted to suggest a potential site feature improvement that would make this process MUCH easier! ![]()
As many of us know, it can be a real headache
to pinpoint that one elusive card causing the mismatch, especially when dealing with large collections. Currently, we need to check all the colors simultaneously, forcing us to manually count through hundreds of cards per expansion. ![]()
My Suggestion: Color & Booster Filtering! ![]()
![]()
I believe implementing the same color filters we have in the game (e.g., Grass
, Fire
, Water
, etc.) directly into the website’s card inventory would be incredibly beneficial! ![]()
Why This Helps:
- Faster Narrowing: We could quickly isolate cards by color, significantly reducing the scope of our search.

- Booster Specificity: Adding the ability to filter by specific booster packs (e.g., Dialga, Pikachu, Charizard) would further refine our searches.

- Improved Efficiency: This would save us tons of time and frustration when trying to sync our in-game and website collections.

How This Relates to the “Half-and-Half” Method:
My previous “half-and-half” method relies on dividing expansions and rarities to narrow down the search. However, even with this method, we still need to manually compare counts across all colors within the selected parameters. Adding color filtering would make this process significantly more efficient and accurate. ![]()
Example Scenario:
Let’s say I’m trying to find a mismatch in the “Charizard” booster pack. Currently, I’d have to count all the cards in that pack on both the app and website. With color filtering, I could isolate just the Fire
cards, drastically reducing my counting time.
Benefits:
- Streamlined card syncing process.

- Reduced manual counting and potential errors.

- Enhanced user experience for all collectors.

I hope this suggestion is helpful! Let me know what you think, and if you have any other ideas for improving the site! ![]()
Happy collecting! ![]()
