Add a trading page where it automatically filters my cards to show only the extras I have that can be traded. (e.g. I have 4 of a card and I need to keep 2 of them for my decks and they are 1 star or less so they can be traded. It would show 2 cards and a counter to let me add them to a public trade database/page.) Once I have added all my cards I want to the trading page, I can then search for the cards I am missing/want and everyone who has those cards will show up with a green check representing that they have a reciprocal card (e.g. I find a 4 diamond card they are trading and they have a 4 diamond card they want from me) OR a red X to represent that they have the card I want but I donât have a card they need (Thinking this mght be useful to investigate what they need so I can make multiple trades to get to that card). If it is a green check, then a message icon should be next to it to initiate a conversation about the trade where it shares both parties details in the game and the cards being traded.
Once trades are completed, in the game successfully, then each party can give a thumbs up on the trade which deactivates it but adds a thumbs up counter to that persons profile (if both check thumbs up the trade). Then you could have a âbest ofâ chart on the homepage for the users wth most trades.
I was thinking something very similar; instead of making a new post I think it might be best to just add my thoughts here as I am very much just echoing what OP has said, with some minor tweaks.
I think instead of adding a trading page, it could just utilise the current âTradeâ tab, using the âFor Tradeâ and âLooking Forâ options. Perhaps, instead of showing people simply with the cards youâre looking for, it shows you the accounts of people with cards you are âLooking forâ who have missing cards that are in your âFor Tradeâ pile of the same rarity, to streamline the process and ensure there is something that can be traded between all suggested accounts.
Perhaps it would also be best to prioritise people who are active/online (with perhaps a 2 minute refresh so those AFK canât abuse this system) so that trades can be done asap with minimal waiting for replies.
I feel like instead of having a ranking being based on users with the most trades, it should be based on card popularity, such as cards in your âFor Tradeâ pile that are the most popular. This way it is functional and doesnât make it so people who are more successful at trading can snowball into becoming more preferred trade partners at the expense of all other members. I donât know if that is a genuine concern but regardless, I feel the card ranking is still a more optimal way to retain that idea.
Regardless of these suggestions, the core idea that OP suggested is essentially still perfect and I think a great way to enhance the functionality of this service and also increase engagement with users.
Great ideas thanks! We already have something in the lines of that on the roadmap, however, it is quite hard to do that in a scalable way.
