[Poll] Trading for building decks

Hi! We are discussing how to implement the deckbuilding option for trading and wanted to ask the community what are their goals.

We mainly have two competing options:

  1. One that behaves exactly like the overview page. There is a “deckbuilding mode” checkbox, which hides the rarities beyond ◊◊◊◊. You still select the “to collect” and “to give” amounts for the diamond rarities. The full-art cards are considered exactly the same as the diamond ones. In particular, if you are missing a card, other people will see that you want to receive the full art versions.
  2. A “building decks” checkbox that works on top of your current preferences. It additionally considers cards you have less than two deckbuilding copies as wanted, and additionally considers the cards you have two or less deckbulding copies as to keep.

Note that the first variant is simpler, but less expressive. As an example, it blocks you from setting that you want to both collect the card-dex and build decks. For example, if you have two full-art copies of a card, it will not consider a ◊◊ card you do not own as wanted.

I don’t know if the thing i’m going to say is accounted in any of the 2 proposition so i’ll just showcase how i actually utilize trading, considering i’m interested in both completing deck and deck building duplicates.

First of all, i generally keep opening packs until i have 1 copy of every card up until 1 star rarity, even though i know that up until 4 diamonds is required to consider the deck to be completed i really enjoy at least also having the 1 star full art version of the available card, (also consideering that the percentage of obtaining 1 star card are higher then 4 diamonds and most of the time i finish the museum version before the EXs).

Once i obtained every 1 copy on all available pack until 1 star rarity (either by opening pack or performing multiple trades) i switch my trading settings in the following way:

1-2-3-4 diamons : 1 copy wanted → 2 copies wanted

1 star: 1 copy wanted → stay the same (considering i have all of them)

2 star-1-2shinies: 0 wanted → 1 copy wanted

The change on the diamond rarity is to get deckbuilding duplicates which obviosuly are less expensive then full art version and more available, once i receive a trade i check with the 3 bar icon if i already have 2 deckbuilding copies of the card proposed registered, if i have at least 2 (regarding of the rarities or where they come from e.g. promo/other pack) i reject the trade otherwise i accept it.

The changes on rarities above 1 star is just for the pure bliss of completition, but considerig they are expensive to trade, i enable the trades after i finished getting 1 copies where i wanted to.

This i mostly how i utilize the trading system to achieve both objectives (pack completition and deckbuilding), as i already said it is most probable that i one of the 2 propositions this use of the trading system is acounted for but considerig i might have understood wrongly those propositions i wanted to give a clear picture on how i utilize it. Obviously this is purely personal and everyone utilize it as he prefer so either way this changes is going i’m going to be happy ahaha
