I suspect this feature has already been requested, and since the Decks tab seems relatively new, it may already be on the roadmap. That said, I wanted to outline this use case clearly because for players focused on competitive deck building, this would be the final piece needed to make the pack recommendation system truly comprehensive.
Feature Request: Filter pack recommendations by target deck(s)
Currently, the Overview tab shows the probability of pulling a “new” card from each pack. This is great for collection completion, but many players care more about efficiently building competitive decks than completing their collection.
Proposed functionality:
Allow users to select one or more decks from the Decks tab (or eventually custom decks) as “targets.” Pack recommendations would then calculate probabilities based only on cards needed for those specific decks, essentially treating all other cards as “already collected.”
For example: If I’m only interested in building S-tier decks, I want to know which pack gives me the highest probability of pulling a new card that’s actually used in any one of those top-performing decks - taking into account the quantities of each card used in the decks and already in my collection.
Implementation considerations:
Minimal version: Add a “favorite/target” toggle to meta decks in the Decks tab, then add a filter toggle in the Overview tab to switch between “all new cards” and “cards needed for target decks”
Full version: Include the ability to save custom decks to user accounts, expanding the targeting beyond just meta decks
I recognize this adds complexity, but I believe it would significantly enhance the tool’s value for the competitive player base. Happy to discuss further or clarify the use case if helpful!
