EXPOSED: Pack Opening "Choice" and Wonder Pick are a Deceptive Illusion - Evidence Inside

Dear Community,

I’ve recently uncovered compelling evidence that suggests the “choice” presented when opening packs and the “Wonder Picks” feature are both complete illusions. The cards you receive are predetermined the moment you initiate the pack opening, and the “Wonder Pick” card is assigned before the shuffle happens, rendering any choice you make meaningless.

The Evidence: Pack Openings

I came across a short video on YouTube demonstrating this phenomenon. In the video, the creator performed the following test:

  1. They pressed the “Open Pack” button.
  2. Immediately, without selecting a pack, they checked the “Wonder Picks” section.
  3. They then observed that the cards displayed in the “Wonder Picks” were the exact cards, and in the same order, that appeared when they subsequently opened the pack.

This clearly indicates that the cards are generated before the player is presented with the “choice” screen. The selection of a pack is merely a visual presentation, not a genuine selection process.

The Evidence: Wonder Picks

Furthermore, “Wonder Picks” are also rigged. The card you receive is predetermined as soon as you click the “Wonder Picks” button, before the shuffle animation. You can easily validate this by:

  1. Clicking the “Wonder Picks” button.
  2. Immediately closing the app or cutting your internet connection.
  3. Reopening the app.

You’ll find that the card has already been assigned, regardless of which option you would have selected. This means it’s always a 20% chance of getting the card you want, regardless of your choice.

Why This Matters:

This revelation has significant implications for how we perceive pack openings and “Wonder Picks”:

  • False Sense of Control: It creates a false sense of control and agency, misleading players into believing they have a meaningful impact on the cards they receive.
  • Debunks “Bent Pack” Myths: This evidence definitively disproves the long-standing “bent pack” myth, which suggests that players can influence the cards they get by manipulating the physical packs.
  • Transparency Concerns: It raises serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the pack opening and “Wonder Picks” systems.
  • Manipulation: The whole game is designed to give you the illusion of choice, when in reality, it is all predetermined.

Call to Action:

I urge the community to help me further investigate these claims. I propose the following:

  • Replicate the Experiment: Please record your own pack openings and “Wonder Picks” attempts, following the steps outlined above. If you observe the same results, please share your recordings and findings in this thread.
  • Share the Original Video: If anyone has seen the video I described, please share the link.
  • Demand Transparency: Let’s collectively demand greater transparency from the developers regarding the pack opening and “Wonder Picks” systems.

The “Bent Pack” Myth:

As a side note, this also proves that the “bent pack” myth is absolutely false. This myth is about how people think they can manipulate the pack to get better cards, this evidence proves that is not the case.

This is already well known. It doesn’t matter which one you choose.

It may be well known to you as the administrator of this site, it is obvious that you have such experience and know many things that casual players do not. This post is aimed to expand the knowledge of those who do not have them.

If I remember correctly, wonder picks are the same way. As soon as you select a pool of cards to pick from it’s already decided which you’ll get so it doesn’t matter which one you choose.

It was fun in the early days of the app when people were trying to calculate probabilities of bent corner packs and which direction each card in the wonder pick would move.

I know most people are going to be upset about this, but I choose to see it as a fun extra embellishment that the devs totally didn’t have to do.

I do not think that wonder picks is also predetermined, it does say at least that there is a 1 fifth of choosing the card you want.

Nowhere it is written that you could change the outcome of the pack you decide to open.

Well at least it could be skipped easily and quickly

Wonder picks are also predetermined. As soon as you click the wonder pick (before the shuffle happens) the backend already assigns a card to you, no matter which one you pick. You can easily validate this by closing the app (or cutting your internet) before picking and when you reopen, the card is already assigned to you.
So its basically always a 20% chance on the card you want, no matter what you choose.

The whole game is designed to give you the illusion of choice.
