🔍 Community Help! Unrecognized Cards by the Scanner? Share Them Here!

Hey everyone, collectors!

Today I stumbled upon a card that the scanning function on our card tracking website :black_joker: didn’t recognize correctly :disappointed:. To prevent others from having the same issue and to help improve our database, I had an idea!:bulb:

I’d like to ask everyone to share in this thread any card that the website’s scanning function has NOT been able to identify correctly! :face_with_monocle:

If you’ve encountered any card that, when scanned, comes up with the wrong name or image, or is simply not recognized at all, please post the following information here:

  • Card Name (as it appears on the card): :writing_hand:
  • Card Number (if it has one): :hash:
  • Set it belongs to: :package:
  • A clear photo of the card (front): :camera_flash: This is super important!
  • Any additional details you think are relevant (language, rarity, etc.): :information_source:

The more information we have, the easier it will be to identify patterns and help the developers improve the scanning function for everyone! :muscle:

The idea is to create a kind of community-made “problematic card database.” :handshake: This way, we can ensure that all our valuable cards are recognized and registered correctly in our collection! :star_struck:

I’ll start! The Card Unown is recognized for some reason as Blaine, this bug is replicable. you can try yourself with the picture that I uploaded.

Thanks everyone for your collaboration! Together we can make our card tracking tool even better! :sparkles:

Hey everyone,

I’ve been noticing something strange when I open multiple packs at once, and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Basically, when I open around 10 packs in a batch, the card recognition system seems to get a little wonky. It correctly identifies most of the cards, which is great! :+1: However, it also seems to create these extra recognition “slots” that aren’t actually real cards.

It’s not like it’s misidentifying existing cards; it’s more like it’s adding phantom cards on top of the correct ones. So, I end up with the right number of real cards, plus a few of these “ghost” recognitions. :ghost:

Has anyone else run into this?

I’m still pretty new to opening packs in bulk (only my second time doing it), so I’m wondering if this is a common thing or if I’m doing something wrong. Any insights would be appreciated!

Here are some of the Ghost Card Recognitions.

I just noticed that the system was able to grab a very small fraction of the card visible in the screenshot and would try to recognize a card only using the name of the card visible and a very small section of it.

Therefore I just need to be more careful when taking the screenshots.

Here are my screenshots

And I got these recognized from the scrapes at the bottom.
