🗳️ Weakness Damage Poll, bug or feature?

Calling all Pokémon TCG experts! :loudspeaker: I need your opinions on something that happened in my last event match. :video_game: My Luxray’s attack :boom: didn’t seem to apply Weakness damage to my opponent’s Pokémon Rayquaza EX on the bench. Is this due to it being benched? :couch_and_lamp: Does Weakness even work on the benched Pokemon?! :exploding_head:

This also brings up Articuno’s attack, which definitely ignores Benched Pokemon Weaknesses. :cold_face: So, let’s settle this! For attacks that hit Benched Pokemon, Do you feel that the Weakness Damage Should be applied or not?, is it generally a bug? :bug: that needs fixing, or a strategic feature :sparkles: we need to play around? Vote and tell us why in the comments! :point_down:

Weakness have never applied to the bench.

Red’s correct. The bench only gets raw damage unless specifically mentioned by the effect. This has gone back to the first printing of the IRL card game (which almost always added “Do not apply weakness or resistance to benched Pokemon” or similar to bench attacks).
