As I said, we were only able to consider few (50 to be precise) people most recently active on the site. I see that you have like 7 cards not yet collected, all ☆, so it will be hard for you to find people to trade with here .
Maybe in the future we will improve the algorithm to consider more people / pick the people to consider based on some better heuristic. But for anyone aside from Marcel it is hard to modify the algorithm, because the code for it runs on a protected server only he has access to (at least from what I understand, correct me if I’m wrong) – so it is just more cumbersome to develop compared to other features of the site.
Yes that is correct. I’ll work on it some more later. Consider this a first version
Currently we show people in matches if they have a card to offer that you need and you have a card to offer that they need. However, like Greg said, it doesn’t take into account the different rarities yet.
So you can both have a spare card the other needs but in different rarities which means there is no actual trade to make.
I have noticed that the settings entered under “Minimum number of cards to keep” are not taken into account during matches.
Example: I have set that I want to keep a minimum of 2 cards, which is why cards that I only have 2 of are not offered for exchange.
If I set this to 1, I suddenly see exchange options with people who were not shown with the “2” setting.
I conclude from this that these settings are not taken into account in the match search, but only when you want to see the possible exchange cards.
It would be awesome to have a search feature for the matches you get, so you can search for a specific card you need that either highlights the matches that contain that specific card, or it lists the possible trades directly (for all matches) for the potential trades for that card.
You will still see all rarities, but the “Cards you need (and friend has)” column should be empty. The other person should also see that you don’t need any cards from these rarities on their side.
We kept the rarities displayed it in case anyone wants to find a card they can share to a friend, even if they don’t need to receive any card themself.
One suggestion: allow us to ignore certain cards or mark them as “not interested” or something similar. For example, I have one regular ◊◊◊ Nihilego and a ♛ one. Since I have enough copies to play 2 in a deck, I’m not interested in receiving a second ◊◊◊ card, but it still shows up as a card I need.
After a trade has been accepted, how do I see the friend code of the user? Someone else said to press “View Matches”, but when I do so it says, “A new version was deployed, please refresh the page to see the latest changes.” even after having reloaded the page several times as well as cleared the cache.
